Blox League Modes & Ranked Guide
Blox League's official listing offers both casual and ranked matches in 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Start with casual when you are learning the controls; choose ranked when you want a competitive result.
Compare the six queue choices
| Queue | Players per side | A useful reason to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Casual 1v1 / Duels | 1 | Practice your own challenges and recoveries without relying on a teammate. |
| Casual 2v2 / Doubles | 2 | Learn the challenge-and-cover relationship with one teammate. |
| Casual 3v3 / Standard | 3 | Practice spacing and finding a passing option in a busier field. |
| Ranked 1v1 / Duels | 1 | Compete with full responsibility for your own touches and defense. |
| Ranked 2v2 / Doubles | 2 | Compete as a pair while managing the space behind a challenge. |
| Ranked 3v3 / Standard | 3 | Compete with a larger team and shared field coverage. |
The formats and ranked/casual availability come from the official game description. The reasons in the last column are our coaching advice. They do not promise matchmaking times, party autofill, easier opponents or a particular reward.
How team size changes the decision
In a duel, a missed challenge can immediately leave the goal exposed because there is no teammate behind you. Use this format to notice when you commit too far and how quickly you recover.
In doubles, ask what your teammate is doing before taking the same ball. If they challenge, cover the space behind them. If they recover, you can become the next challenge. For example, when a teammate drives at a ball near the side wall, staying goal-side gives the team another defensive touch if the challenge fails.
In standard, give the ball carrier another angle. Three cars chasing the same touch leave fewer passing or recovery options. A useful first job is to stay available rather than copy the nearest teammate's route.
Ranked, placements and Elo
TragicJbro's launch footage shows him talking about placements, an Elo display and the leaderboard. Around the middle of the video, he says he does not want to play ten matches to get a rank. Treat that as a report from his launch-session account, rather than a promise that every queue or later version uses the same requirement.
Read the current ranked queue or Profile display for your account's placement status. An Elo number mentioned in a video is a personal snapshot, not a universal Diamond, Champion or other rank cutoff. This guide does not publish imported Rocket League rating thresholds.
If a ranked match exposes a repeatable problem, choose one short practice task before requeueing: a ground shot if you miss the net, a recovery if you leave the goal open, or a camera/input check if you lose track of the ball. A reliable basic touch is more useful than attempting a difficult freestyle solely because it looks impressive.
A simple pre-queue check
Creator footage includes menu-to-match transitions that happen quickly. Finish your input setup before searching so the first kickoff is not also your first control test.
- Your steering, boost, jump and camera inputs respond in Free Play.
- You can direct a ground touch toward the goal and return after it.
- You understand whether your next job is to challenge the ball or cover a teammate.
- You selected the team size and ranked/casual mode you actually intended.
